Signup's open. Properly open, as of the 9th — though I'd opened it quietly two days before that, before the website even pointed at it. I wanted it running against real acceptance instead of my own testing first. Billing needed some fixing; nothing dramatic, just the normal gap between built and ready. On the 9th I flipped the switch on the website itself, and this morning it's just... open. No countdown, no launch day. Five and a half years and it's a Tuesday where the thing works.
Beta runs a couple of months, with Q4 as the target to go fully public — no more beta label, just live. That's current planning, though, and current planning has moved before. It moved once already this year, for a good reason instead of a bad date. I'd rather that happen again than hold a date I invented in the first place.
If something breaks during beta, there's no ticket queue between you and me — you get me directly. That's not designed generosity, it's just what a team of one looks like right now, and I'd rather it stay that way while everything's still this new.
That's the whole announcement, really — no confetti, just a working signup form and a couple of months to find out what I got wrong. Back to the next problem.
