Originally posted on the strackt devlog in March 2021, during the early build. Brought over so the whole journey lives in one place.

Testing the idea in broad strokes is actually pretty fun: you can see that it works, and you get to benefit from it directly with a fully provisioned and configured server to work on.

Having a well powered ESX server to privision test instrances on saves a lot of time and make iterating on the scenarios a breeze.

What got done

  • Developing provisioning on ESX servers 🥳

  • Test, iterate, test. Rinse and repeat

  • Keep learning and improving

  • Going from abstraction to putting it in practice takes time 🤓
